Most of Andrew’s 35-year career has been spent leading or facilitating major change programmes, across a wide range of industries, sectors and businesses.
An engineering apprenticeship and degree led to a progression of leadership roles in entrepreneurial start-ups, established family businesses and leading multinationals.
In November 2000 Andrew set up Nicholson Consultancy, specialising in business strategy, lean manufacturing and leadership development, and then in 2002 jointly founded The Lean Consortium Limited. More recently he set up ImproveMyFactory.com – to do what it says on the tin!
Andrew and his colleagues have helped hundreds of businesses and thousands of people to survive, grow and prosper by combining proven, common sense approaches with the right tools and techniques for each situation.
Andrew’s qualifications include an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UMIST, an MBA from Cranfield, and Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Currently a member of The Entrepreneurs’ Forum, previous roles include Chair of the North Eastern Region of the Association of MBA’s, panel Judge for the Orange Business of the Year Awards and volunteer mentor with The Prince’s Trust.
